Juggy Rihal studied Tabla from an early age under the guidance of Gurmeet Singh Virdee, who nurtured Juggy’s desire to learn. At the age of 12 he started his Bhangra journey with the band Anamika and then with his reputation growing, he later joined West-Midland bands Pardesi and Apna Sangeet.
It was during this time that teacher Gurmeet Singh passed away and Juggy moved to the guidance of world-renowned teacher Ajit Singh Mutlashi Ji. Under his tutorage, Juggy completed his BA honours in Indian Classical Music.
The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up around various talented musicians meant that Juggy was always surrounded by different forms of music – all of which influenced his development.
Over a decade ago, Juggy founded his own musical organisation called Masterclass where he continues to pass on the rich culture of Indian music to his students.
In 2015 Juggy was awarded Best Musician at the Bhangra Awards and also had the honour of performing for HRH Queen Elizabeth on her jubilee celebrations 2012.
As a founder of Masterclass Entertainments & Education, Juggy continues to inspire and educate children in the West Midlands area. He also performs worldwide with The Legends Live Band, as well as many prominent artists from India.
